Romeo and Juliet tickets

Partake in the sweetest sorrows with “Romeo and Juliet” live in NYC's Circle in the Square Theatre. This fall season, western history’s most influential love story returns to Broadway in an extended 20-week run, which includes our forthcoming show on October 16, 2024. “The youth are f**ked.”

A tale that transcends centuries, from the 16th to the 21st, this adaptation of the heart-rending classic will unfurl an affair of romance and anguish under the direction of Tony Award winner Sam Gold. Shakespeare’s “star-crossed” lovers will let you feel passion at its purest, blushingly unabashed, in defiance against familial feuds and fate itself. “To a new generation on the edge,” this tragedy now belongs to you. “Romeo and Juliet” stars Emmy winner Kit Connor and Golden Globe recipient Rachel Zegler in their Broadway debuts, with music by GRAMMY-winning artist/record producer Jack Antonoff and movement by Tony awardee Sonya Tayeh.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

For our forthcoming play, however, no other title would suffice. This fall 2024, the timeless story of “Romeo and Juliet” will unfold in a groundbreaking new revival on Broadway! Experience love, loss, and grace on Wednesday, October 16, as this production continues its highly acclaimed box office run at the Circle in the Square Theatre following a sold-out first week.

Impulsive are the young, uninhibited in their passion. Directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold, “Romeo and Juliet” will tread familiar Shakespearian mythology, updated for the 21st century’s latest generations of youth. “Violent delights have violent ends,” and to our tale’s ill-destined lovers, the feud between their families, the Montagues and the Capulets, seems like a rift so insurmountably vast. But a love that dares to bud will inevitably dare to bleed.

Witness how our titular pair’s trysts spiral into chaos as they chase the intoxicating highs of forbidden romance. Fate has but one ending. Inescapable. Unforgiving. What will come of Romeo and Juliet? A bloodied history repeated, or a new heart-rending tragedy inherited?

Emmy Award recipient Kit Connor (“Heartstopper”) and Golden Globe winner Rachel Zegler (“West Side Story”) will fill the production’s “star-crossed” leads, fronting a cast of Broadway’s most-anticipated up-and-coming talents. The show will also feature music by Jack Antonoff, winner of eleven GRAMMY Awards (including three for Producer of the Year), and movement by Tony Award-winning choreographer Sonya Tayeh.
